ElectraZoom Electric Scooters Attend Autosport International 2020 at the NEC Birmingham
Earlier this month ElectraZoom Electric Scooters had the pleasure of attending one of Europe’s largest motor sport shows at the NEC in Birmingham, Autosport International 2020. The show is an annual event, run this year from the 9th to the 12th of January, and what an event it was.
It was trade only days on the Thursday and Friday and then public days followed on the Saturday and Sunday so we had the privilege of meeting the industry professionals over the first two days and then the excitement of the public through the weekend.
We were invited to share a stand by two ElectraZoom advocates. The first was Darren and Geoff from CX Auto Group who also own Airshroud the remote reveal indoor and outdoor car cover system, Harry and James from Garage Style Ltd, the garage flooring specialists, and Adrian and Simon from Revere London who had some amazing kit on display. Revere London are luxury vehicle modifiers who specialise in bespoke tailoring options for Range Rovers and many other luxury vehicles.
We turned up ready for action early on the Thursday morning and got the stand ready to go. We brought along a strong range of the electric scooters we hold in stock, the Xiaomi M365 and its larger more powerful sibling the M365 Pro. We also brought along the Micro Falcon lightweight electric scooter but the star of the show for most people was the Inokim OXO, one version with tarmac tires and another with chunky off road tires. The Inokim is an immediate eye catcher due to its radical design features, front and back suspension, dual motors and the fact that it does over 40 mph, tackling pretty much any terrain.
At 9am the doors opened and people starting to flow into the 5 arenas. We were lucky that our stand was close to the entrance of the live action arena, which was a hugely popular part of the show. Things got busy around 11am with plenty of people coming along to have a good inspection of the scooters.
Sadly due to Health and Safety reasons we aren’t allowed to let people test the electric scooters inside the event. However, once the event closed at 6pm and the last of the visitors had left, the exhibitors all came along to have a go.
Things got even busier as the event went on with larger crowds developing on the Friday and then through to the weekend, when there were queues out of the door with eager visitors looking to get in. It’s no surprise the event is as popular as it is, with guests like Formula 1’s Charles Leclerc and British Touring Car Championship star Colin Turkington making appearances.
The show also allowed people to get up close and personal with some of the most impressive forms of transport in the world including the biggest names in the automotive world like Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin to name but a few, and of course the ElectraZoom Electric Scooter range.
We all had such an amazing weekend that we are absolutely going to follow this up by attending again next year at Autosport International 2021.
We are also looking to attend a few more events over the course of 2020 including the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Gravity 2020, one of Europe’s largest modified car show. These events will be confirmed a little nearer the time. So if you are thinking of attending keep your eye out for us and come along to say hi and have a look at our range of amazing electric scooters, the future of personal transport.
