Electra Zoom Electric Scooter User - Jamie Chadwick, Multi-Championship Winning Racer and Williams F1 Development Driver
Welcome to our first Electra Zoom ‘blog,’ and we’re particularly proud to be featuring Jamie Chadwick, who has just made history, adding the new W-Series Championship to her impressive CV – and she is also a high profile Electra Zoom Xioami M365 Pro user.
The world of motor sport has always been hugely popular here in the UK, where drivers like Lewis Hamilton, David Coulthard, Jenson Button, Damon Hill, are household names. Even if you are not into motor racing, we all know who they are and what they do. Well, now there’s one more name to add to the list - Jamie Chadwick. Jamie is a hugely popular and successful female racer having won the MRF Asian race series, a Class win in the Nurburgring 24 Hours and the first W-series Championship already this year - and even better, just like Lewis Hamilton, she a Brit!
Jamie, born in Bath, spent her formative years in the Isle of Man, before moving back to Gloucestershire, where she attended Cheltenham College. Her interest in motor racing started in Karts in 2011, when she racked up regular wins and podiums at junior club level. At 14 she won the prestigious Ginetta Junior Scholarship rocketing her onto the big stage racing in the British Touring Cars package. And, at 16 Jamie became the youngest driver and first woman to win a British GT Championship with Aston Martin Racing, as well as the Silverstone 24 Hour, as part of the Beechdean Team. In 2018 she was the first female driver in history to win a BRDC British Formula 3 Championship race. And in 2019 she has built on that foundation with even more success
It is safe to say that Jamie knows her onions when it comes to making her way around a race track, so we were delighted to see her familiarising herself with the various tracks this year on an Electra Zoom eScooter. We caught up with her and asked what made her choose and Electra Zoom Scooter and how she uses it.
“ I love it. My Electra Zoom Scooter is a brilliant mode of transport. I use everywhere, especially at the track to get around the paddock quickly and safely. But it is particularly useful to check and feel the circuit and surroundings during ‘track walks’. I can start and stop with ease, allowing me to jump off and closely examine the detail track condition and inspect the apex, ensuring that I know exactly what to expect before getting in a car and taking it at well over 100mph.”
“ My Xioami M365 Pro electric Scooter also folds neatly into a small space and weighs only 12kg, so packing it up and transporting it around is relatively simple and convenient. Just keep it charged you are good to go.”
It is clear that Jamie Chadwick is a name to watch and we are confident that she will do great things in the world of motor sport over the coming years.
